Technical Project Manager

Essential Responsibilities:
ˇ The Technical Project Managers will have the following responsibilities:
ˇ Negotiate work scope & schedule with internal and external customers
ˇ Secure funding consistent with commitments
ˇ Working with Technical Lead Engineers to develop integrated plan to meet program schedule commitments, drive everyone to meet dates, review status and maintain scorecards, resolve or elevate issues
ˇ Ensure functional managers have resource plans to close on budgets
ˇ Control and project spend, securing budget and spend authorization as required
ˇ Manage technical requirements and ensure adherence to requirements, ability to negotiate commercially on requirement creep
ˇ Identify, manage and drive down project risks, drive risk mitigation actions, review status and maintain a comprehensive Risk Management Process, resolve or elevate issues
ˇ Manage communications with customers at tech reviews, coordination meetings, etc.
ˇ Drive ownership and accountability to functional managers and leaders
ˇ Identify escapes and needed process improvements and communicate them
Qualifications/Requirements:
ˇ Commercially aware, degree or equivalent qualified, preferably in engineering or similar discipline.
ˇ Experience within an aerospace structural design engineering environment dealing with programme / project management and commercial issues.
ˇ Strong communication skills.
ˇ Self motivated
ˇ Proficient in MS Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
ˇ Prepared to travel to customer facilities.
Desired Characteristics :
An additional business and/or financial qualification are preferred but not essential.
